Intro 2 Ringette

We want to introduce Ringette to you!

What is Ringette?

Ringette is a uniquely Canadian winter ice sport - often dubbed the fastest sport on ice! The main objective of Ringette is to use a stick to shoot a ring into the opposing team's goal. The team with the highest score at the end wins.

More information on Ringette can be found on the Ringette Canada website: https://www.ringette.ca/our-sport/what-is-ringette/

What it “Intro 2 Ringette”?

Intro 2 Ringette is a safe, fun, low-cost, 4-week program that will introduce players 4-12 years old to the sport of Ringette. Intro 2 Ringette quickly introduces participants to Ringette basics so they are confident joining an Association Ringette team after completion of the program. Intro 2 Ringette components include rules orientation, basic strategies of the game, and time to practice the basics of ring control.

Each Intro 2 Ringette session is 50 minutes in length and is led by certified instructors who are trained to break down and teach skills to brand new players in a low instructor-to-participant ratio.

Not only are we going to teach your child how to skate and play Ringette, but we are also going to introduce them to a world that:

  • builds confidence
  • supports creativity
  • creates friendships that last a lifetime!

What you need:

Here is the best part - just like Come Try Ringette, Intro 2 Ringette has been designed to introduce participants to the sport in a safe, no-contact manner that requires minimal equipment. This enables us to offer Intro 2 Ringette as a low-cost program that is more easily accessible for anyone who is not yet prepared to invest in a full equipment purchase!

Participants require only the following:

  • helmet with face mask
  • Gloves or heavy mittens
  • Skates
  • Warm clothes (snow pants are also recommended to help keep dry)

Of course, participants are always welcome to wear additional equipment if they have it!

Registration Fee

Each Intro 2 Ringette program consists of 4 sessions for a low cost of $50.
